The entire process of creating a new project can take between two to three weeks to ensure that the new user has all the details and requirements.
Step 1:
The first step is to fill out the entry form on this link: registration form. On this form you fill in some personal information and a short abstract of your project.
Step 2:
Once we receive the form, we will contact the new user, via email, to schedule a meeting with the advisory board. At this meeting the new user will briefly presents its manufacturing needs. This council is composed of users and teachers with many years of experience working at CCS. They will advise the new user on the feasibility of the project within CCS.
Step 3:
Once the project is accepted, the new user will have access to the CSS building (via a magnetic card), and the intranet system calendar / schedule. New users can only use the equipment schedule after completion of Step 4 and Step 5.
Step 4:
Before having access to the equipment you need to attend a safety training. This training is mandatory for all users and usually happen within a week after submission of the project to the advisory board.
Step 5:
Once approved in safety training, the new user can schedule training sections at the equipments which has been designated by the advisory board with the administrates of each machine. You can find the information of the administrators in this link: List Users and Administrators. After being approved in the training section the user will be able schedule the equipment.
The new user should be prepared for a flexible approach! Many new users change their manufacturing plans significantly once they become familiar with the best equipment, staff and capabilities.
